"Life has many different challenges for kids and adults alike.
Sometimes those challenges are complicated by the occurrence of more
than one problem. Unfortunately, autistic/mood disordered children
tend to be targets for abuse; either by abusive adults, school
bullies, or just impatient people. They may also experience things
along the road of life, such as a house fire, the loss of a loved
one, or be a witness to something traumatic like a shooting. Abuse
and Trauma have a different affect on children who also have a mood
disorder or a diagnosis on the autism spectrum. You need a
therapist who understands this and has experience treating this or
they will not get better."
